During a trip to Switzerland, I stopped briefly in St. Moritz, a small town in the southeast of Switzerland.
It was just a stopover in order to catch the Glacier Express the next day, but I had the chance to walk around the city a little bit.
St. Moritz is known for being a great ski resort during the winter, and one of the most expensive. And after looking at the menus of the restaurants while walking around town, it is indeed a very expensive city! Switzerland was already expensive, but St. Moritz took the cake.
While expensive, I found however that it is a lovely city. I highly recommend walking around the lake to take in the nice views.
Since I was there only to catch the Glacier Express the next day, I didn’t plan any activities, but even in the summer, there is plenty to do there. Hiking is the first thing that comes to mind. If it’s anything like the views I had in Zermatt, I’m sure the hiking there is amazing!
